Evidence of attainment:
2.1 Content and teaching strategies of the teaching area
- As a team, the content for each term is agreed upon during planning time. During professional conversations with colleagues and leadership, we decide on the teaching strategies for each unit of work and plan accordingly. We also plan for students to have experiences like excursions or incursions that link with the content we are teaching.

2.2 Content selection and organisation
- Every term, there is a full day of planning provided to teachers to organise what content will be select for the following term. We complete term overviews and make sure that all the curriculum areas are completed. Leadership are available to us on this day to help structure our term/unit/week planners and give advice on teaching and learning strategies.
- Throughout the term, we are given allocated time to plan with our team each week. During this time, we plan all teaching and assessment for the following week and discuss the progress of our students.
2.3 Curriculum, assessment and reporting
- Refer to Standard 5: Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
- Examples of the assessment that I complete are:
- Moderating tables using curriculum progression points (using Google sheets)
- Fountas & Pinnell literacy assessment

- PATM testing (Progressive Achievement Test for Mathematics)
- SINE (Success in Numeracy Education)
2.4 Understand and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian
- During term 2, the 3/4 team decided to plan an Inquiry unit about Aboriginal Australians. We organised for students to go to the Botanical Gardens to learn more about Aboriginal culture. They learned about bush dancing, finger painting, instruments, shelter, hunting and Australian tribes. This unit helped the students understand more about Australian history and build a respect for the way Aboriginals lived before European settlement.
